The problem is the majority of the glutamine products on the market just contain regular L-glutamine and nothing else. L-glutamine by itself is not effective for recovery…despite what all the glutamine labels claim and whatever article you read on the internet.*

A few years back it was discovered that the dipeptide L-alanyl-L-glutamine (known as Sustamine, L-alanine bonded to L-glutamine) was superior to L-glutamine in isolation. Later, animal studies showed that taking L-alanine with L-glutamine in a 3:2 ratio offered the same superiority over L-glutamine in isolation.*
