Phase 1

Focus #1: Manipulate Your Hormonal Signaling

Over 95% of testosterone is produced by the Leydig cells in the testicles. However, this production is controlled, trig­gered and signaled by the pituitary gland in your brain. When stimulated by certain key nutrients, your brain re­leases luteinizing hormone (LH) and follic stimulating hor­mone (FSH). The powerful luteinizing hormone regulates the expression of 17-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (turns androstendione into testosterone) and directly controls the amount of testosterone produced by the Leydig cells in your testicles.*

Focus #3: Improve Bioavailability with a Self Emulsifying Phospholipid Transport System

Phospholipids are used extensively in pharmaceutical formulations worldwide and act as an emulsifier which enables oils to form a colloid with water. They are extensively used because during digestion the gastrointestinal (GI) tract acts as a barrier and poses several challenges for the oral absorption of nutrients and many times leads to the degradation of nutrients and low oral bioavailability of these key ingredients. The absorption of ingredients depends greatly on its solubility and ability to diffuse across the lipophilic membrane of enterocytes. Ingredients need to be dissolved in order to achieve bioavailability and its solubility depends on its solid-state properties. Lipidbased deliveries have the ability to keep ingredients in a solubilized state and enhance the dissolving of one substance into another. Phospholipids possess special qualities as they have both hydrophilic (water loving) and lipophilic (fat-loving) properties. When placed in water, they have been shown to form various structures organized as lipid bilayers with the hydrophobic tails lined up against one another and the hydrophilic head-group facing the water on both sides. These unique features make phospholipids very desirable to help protect ingredients from degradation, increase the bioavailability of ingredients and influence the absorption of active ingredients via various mechanisms. They have been shown to modify the release of ingredients, improve bioavailability, change the character of the intestinal environment, stimulate lymphatic transport and interact with enterocyte-based transport processes.*
