BSN EndoRush Review 2018 - Back in the Game?

BSN just released a new version for their (discontinued) pre workout supplement EndoRush after a long time since their last product release in the pre-workout category (N.O Xplode 2.0). The new EndoRush is coming in powder form, rather than the energy drink form of the older version. As you will see, as we go through this review, on paper, BSN EndoRush is BSN’s most hardcore pre-workout to date. Let us dive into the label, what you should expect and our own experience with the product.

What’s in it & Why

The EndoRush features a fully transparent label, with no doses left unknown. The label is pretty simple and all the ingredients are probably ingredients you’ve seen before in a pre workout. The label is also well organized and divided into groups of ingredients of the same effect.

Performance Composite – 3g Creatine Monohydrate, 1.6g CarnoSyn Beta-Alanine, 5mg BioPerine Black Pepper Extract.

Creatine Monohydrate is a common form of Creatine, an ingredient for increasing ATP levels and thus increasing strength and energy. CarnoSyn is the best form on Beta-Alanine on the market, and it increases performance and muscle contractions. BioPerine affectsT the absorption of nutrients in the body, increasing the absorption of the vitamins and minerals in EndoRush.

Pump Matrix – Velox Patented Performance Blend (made of 1.5g L-Arginine and 1.5g L-Citrulline), 1g NO3-T, 250mg Calcium Glycerophosphate, 250mg Magnesium Glycerophosphate.

Both L-Arginine and L-Citrulline are known to boost nitric-oxide levels, which expands blood vessels, allowing more oxygen and nutrients to be delivered to your muscles. This results in better pumps. L-Citrulline also has a role in the removal of ammonia, a compound known to cause exercise-related fatigue, from your blood. NO3-T is another NO booster like the L-Arginine and L-Citrulline. The Glycerophosphates are not pump ingredients, but provide extra nutrients to the mix.

Energy & Focus Complex – 150mg Natural Caffeine, 150mg Caffeine Anhydrous, 150mg Longan Extract and 26mg Yohimbe Extract. The 300mg total Caffeine dose is pretty high, and the combination of natural and non-natural makes it better. Longan Extract is made of the Dragon Eye fruit, and has many benefits including increased energy levels and relieving stress. Users have mixed experiences with Yohimbe Extract mostly with mild side effects (shivers…)r but it does help with weight loss and increasing testosterone levels.

The Label’s Bottom Line

The Endo Rush packs 300mg of Caffeine per serving, which instantly put it in the hardcore pre workout category. The pump department is on paper well covered with some unique ingredients and so is the power & endurance part, though we would prefer to see 3.2g of Beta Alanine which has become the magic number for this ingredient.

Our Hands-on Experience

Best Flavors – BSN Endo Rush comes in 5 flavors (Fruit Punch, Watermelon, Blue Razz, Sour Candy and Island Cooler). All but the fruit punch are good & refreshing, so you can’t really go really wrong.

Effectiveness – Our general experience with the product was positive, this is a no frill pre-workout. It hits you hard enough to get you going, but not so hard that you feel like killing the weights. We liked the N.O effect (pump) and the energy boost, we did not get that laser focus feeling you get with some our top 10 pre-workouts which are enhanced with powerful CNS stimulators.

30 serving tubs retail for $29.99 which is what you would expect this to retail at. And obviously, the best way to get the best deal on the BSN EndoRush is to always compare prices on the fitness deal news price comparison engine!

When analyzing the label and after actually trying the product, it seems that BSN is targeting the intermediate pre-workout space with EndoRush. Somewhere between beginners pre-workout (ala C4) and our top 10 best pre-workout that might a be too much for most. I like the approach. If you just graduated Cellucor C4, but you are not ready yet for APS Mesomorph, a stop at BSN EndoRush is a decent next step.
