Pre-Phase KO by Phase One Nutrition was one of the original stim junkie pre workouts I got to experience. It is hard to imagine that there wasn’t something ‘extra’ in the original version. Well, it is back! Phase One Nutrition is bringing it back (in a limited run) and the formula looks very much the same which obviously sets the expectations high! In this review, we’ll take a look at the new Pre Phase KO pre-workout and see if it lives up to the hype.

The Label & The Promise
Yes, I know, not a super comprehensive label! But you know what we say on our reviews…”labels are just labels”. But with that said:
- Pumps: Citrulline Malate at 6g. That’s a good amount for this ingredient
- Power: Beta Alanine at 3g, is just at where it needs to be for a bit of endurance and mostly tingling 🙂
- Focus & Energy: The stim junkie combo of DMHA, Eria & Caffeine (350mg), Theobromine is right on the money, add to that a touch of Alpha Yohimbine and you can start feeling the buzz

Yes, flavor is not the most important thing is a stim pre-workout, but both flavors here are actually good! So you are safe:)
Experience
Let’s get this out of the way! The new version of Pre Phase KO pre-workout rocks! It puts you in the zone and gives you a good sense of urgency. It’s not a crazy energy, it’s a consistent, smooth, productive energy that stays with you for 3-4 hours. It’s similar to other pre-workouts like Hybrid by the Kilo Labs, Phenom Pre-Workout, Symbiote, and Decim8.
The pumps are awesome, the focus is buzzing and the Pre Phase KO has zero Alpha Yo side effects but a very real side effect of super long lasting post workout buzz 🙂
How does it compare to the original?
Lets get the main question out of the way. Is it as good as the original version? That is a loaded question and given the original version was discontinued 3 years ago, its a bit hard to compare. I would say its in the same neighborhood, but it is safe to assume the original version had some ‘extra’ sauce that’s not on label, which this version doesn’t have. But you will not be disappointed!
