THE PROMISE
The first ‘ULTIMATE’ product on the Cellucor lineup was C4 Ultimate, the fully dosed, hard core version for the super popular C4 pre-workout. Cellucor is finally expanding this premium line with NO3 Ultimate, a stimulant free pump amplifier. The NO3 is an extension to the company’s NO3 line with one other product called the NO3 Chrome but NO3 Ultimate look to achieve the same goal without the use of stimulants and as the ‘ultimate’ name promises – a more complete label.
WHAT IS IN IT & WHY
Unlike the NO3 Chrome and pretty much whole of Cellucor’s pump series, the NO3 Ultimate is a powder formula instead of coming in capsules. Other than that, the label is completely transparent for us to see what makes “The most extreme pump amplifier” as mentioned on the NO3 Ultimate’s tub. So let’s dive into the label.
4g L-Citrulline – Citrulline is an Arginine precursor, which means it is used in the production of Arginine in the body. Arginine stimulates nitric oxide (NO) production, which acts as a vasodilator to increase blood flow to muscle and open up blood vessels. The dose here is pretty low, with 6g to 8g being the effective dose.
1.5g Nitrosigine – Another Arginine precursor, Nitrosigine is a great ingredient with many scientific backing to it. It has the same effects as L-Citrulline but the dose here is better, as 1.5g is the max effective dose for Nitrosigine.
1g Arginine AKG – Also known as Arginine Alpha-ketoglutarate is an amino acid that is necessary when coming to produce NO in the liver. This is the first of two Arginine sources in the NO3 Ultimate, giving you an immediate dose of Arginine without the use of precursors.
500mg NO3-T – A patented form of Arginine Nitrate, NO3-T is pretty much the same as the AAKG. It’s an amino acid that helps to produce NO without precursors. The more NO the merrier.
150mg Grape Seed Extract (95% OPC) – GSE is a unique ingredient. It acts as a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants form a front line defense against cell damage caused by free radicals, which are involved in muscle, joint and tendon damage and inflammation.
30mg resVida – resVida is a branded Trans-Resveratrol. Trans-Resveratrol has many benefits, such as endurance enhancement, cardiovascular security and testosterone boost. It also helps with mental sharpness. This is a very Interesting ingredient, and it makes a great addition here.
The rest of the label also mentions 5 calories per serving, 1g carbs and 250mg Vitamin C.
The Label’s Bottom Line- The label looks really promising when it comes to pumps. Maybe one of the best we’ve seen so far. NO3 Ultimate is not trying to position itself as a non stimulant pre-workout. if it was we would be telling you that is missing several important elements. But no, P6 Ultimate, is plain and simple ‘I’ll pump you up’ formula.
VALUE FOR MONEY & DEAL HISTORY
Based on the prices of other products in the Ultimate Series, the soon to be launched NO3 Ultimate will be priced at $39.99 for 20 servings. It will be available in three flavors – Fruit Punch, Watermelon, and Blue Raspberry. At first glance, the price look to be a bit much for a pure pump formula. But lets wait for the product release and see what the final price is.
FINAL VERDICT
The newly announced NO3 Ultimate from Cellucor looks to really being one of the more potent pump amplifiers in the market. Although it looks like it really has something to sell, we estimate the price is gonna hold it back, but only time will tell.
